Green Teams

Green Tea Party FlierThe University of Washington is known for its efforts in sustainability. You can get involved in campus sustainability efforts by starting or joining a Green Team!

Student Green Teams

There are many Registered Student Organizations (RSO's) with an environmental focus, a full list can be found here. The most active groups on campus include the Eco-Reps, SEED and the UW Farm. Student Green Teams may also form through the process of designing, submitting, and implementing a project proposal for the Campus Sustainability Fund.

UW Green Tea Party

As a networking tool for student groups, a Green Tea Party is held in the Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability office on a monthly basis to provide an opportunity for Green Teams to share what their groups are doing, increase collaboration, and learn about additional resources. Join the Facebook group to stay informed or get involved.

Faculty and Staff Green Teams

These are collaborative groups committed to improving the environmental sustainability of their workplace (or any shared space), often involving representatives from various departments. Learn more…

Green Bag Networking Luncheons

Green Teams on campus come together once a quarter to share ideas, hold discussions, and share advice on projects. If you have a Green Team on campus that would like to join our Green Bag Network, please email oess@uw.edu.
