The Eco-Dawg Kiosk was a physical location next to the Visitor's Center, but is now seeking a new home. The project as a whole is made of several components, and was created by Martin Su, a student majoring in Communications.

Interactive Poster (available for display)

The poster has photos and information about the different topics that demonstrate what the University of Washington is doing in regards to environmental sustainability. The topics include energy, food, buildings, transportation, water management, waste management, education, administration, students, UW initiatives, awards, and how to get involved. If you are interesting in borrowing the post for display in your building, please contact us

The physical poster uses recycled hanging file folders as part of the display, along with printed paper that is 100% recycled content. You may click on the poster to the right to see an electronic interactive version of the poster.

Cardboard Tree (visit the tree at the HUB)

This is a 3D model of a tree, with the ability for student groups to post posters on it as a subtle reminder that posters originate from trees. Additionally, the container has a slot for people to provide suggestions for improving campus sustainability. Visit the tree at the HUB on the main floor lobby.

The tree is made of cardboard found in campus recycling streams. The objects are used to hold pieces of paper such as environmental event fliers.

Informational Binder (read at the Visitor's center)

The Binder is a series of fliers from various departments related to sustainability on campus, along with several topic introduction pages. You can flip through the binder and learn about sustainability on campus while checking out the Visitor's Center in Odegaard.

The physical binder and page protectors are reused from previous projects, and the paper inserts are printed on 100% recycled paper. You may click on the photo to the right to view a PDF of the Eco-Dawg Book.
